Wooden Walls Mural Project page

Many of our original, often limited-edition Asbury Park clothes, Asbury Park memorabilia, and merchandise feature images and artwork designed by local artists. Through our collaboration with The Wooden Walls Mural Project,10% of the sales of our Wood Walls Artist merchandise goes back to the artist in support of this initiative that enriches the socio-cultural and socio-economic landscape of Asbury Park in a thoughtful way.

How the Wooden Walls Mural Collaboration Came to Be

We opened our first incarnation of Wooden Walls Artists under the brand “Cultivar.t” (Culture + Variety + Art) when Jenn Hampton of Parlor Gallery and founder of the Wooden Walls, Asbury Park’s mural non-profit, was approached by boardwalk developer Madison Marquette to open an art space and shop in a vacant storefront.
This Asbury Park gift shop opened late summer, 2017 with mural-inspired wall clocks, wood blocks, letters and t-shirts, tanks, and onesies, all featuring the artwork of the Wooden Walls Mural artists. Collaborating with of the Wooden Walls artists we produced 12 limited edition beach towels based on the murals launching the Wooden Walls Towel Project. The public was so enthusiastic about this authentic Asbury Park merchandise we quickly expanded to tote bags.
Our mission has always been to give back and support these talented, local, national, and international artists.
To ensure the artists royalties in the success of their work, we give back 10% of all sales of mural-inspired merchandise directly to the artists.
